Our Process for Pharmacists
Your patient gets a compounding prescription from any prescriber…
such as a doctor, nurse practitioner, dentist, naturopath, veterinarian, etc.
How to fill a compounding prescription with Helios
Pharmacy reviews the compounding prescription and contacts Helios for a quote.
The pharmacy can contact Helios by phone, fax, email, or by submitting an online form.
Helios sends a quote to the pharmacy.
Helios provides a quote to the pharmacy and assistance with prescription billing procedures.
Pharmacy signs a one-time central-fill agreement with Helios.
The pharmacy is required to sign a one-time central-fill agreement that allows Helios to prepare the medication.
If the Pharmacy does not sign a central-fill agreement, you can refer the patient to Helios directly.
Pharmacy transmits the prescription.
The pharmacy transmits the compounding prescription to Helios.
Pharmacy bills insurance.
The pharmacy verifies the patient’s insurance coverage and billing details and invoices accordingly.
Helios prepares the medication.
Helios prepares the medication and checks the final product for technical accuracy.
Helios delivers the medication.
Helios delivers the medication to the pharmacy. Delivery may take 24 hours or more. Express delivery services can be arranged.
Pharmacy dispenses the medication.
The pharmacy notifies the patient that their medication is ready for pick-up or delivery and provides them with appropriate therapeutic counselling.
