Frequently Asked Questions for Pharmacists
Q: Are you open to the public?
A: We cater to helping other pharmacies provide compounds to their patients through a central-fill agreement. Therefore, we encourage all clients to submit their compounding requests via their pharmacy-of-choice.
Q: What compounds do you specialized in?
A: We specialize in both non-sterile and sterile compounds. Contact us to see if we can help with your compounding needs.
Q: Why can’t I make compounds in my pharmacy?
A: Under new OCP compounding regulations, your pharmacy may not have the resources to compound. That is why Helios Compounding Pharmacy is here to help. Contact us for more information.
Q: I received a prescription from a patient, how do I submit an order?
A: To submit an order, contact us by phone, fax, or email. You can also submit your request via the online form. Click here to contact a Helios team member.
Q: What’s the benefit of using Helios Compounding Pharmacy?
A: Instead of sending your patients away, you can supply them with what they need by using our services. Retain your patients and keep them happy.
Q: How do I bill the compound to the patients’ private insurance?
A: Contact us and we can help you find the best solution!
Q: How does delivery work?
A: Once the compound has been prepared, we aim to deliver it in 1 business day. We will ensure the products are stored correctly until it reaches your store. If you require same day delivery let us know and we can provide you with a price quote.
Q: I received a prescription for a compound containing a narcotic ingredient, can I still get this via central fill?
A: Unfortunately, we cannot use a central-fill agreement to prepare compounded preparations with narcotic or controlled ingredients. As these preparations are also not transferable from your Pharamcy to Helios, please refer the prescriber or your patient directly to Helios. This will have to be filled by us directly.
Q: My pharmacy is located in a remote area of Ontario, can I still use your services?
A: Of course! Contact us and we can get started.
